Building site, Greenford Road

Ten years ago today I created the 287th post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

Tower blocks rise relentlessly at the largest housing development in Greenford. The first are already occupied. The next is Block 8 which will be on the bank of the Grand Union Canal to the left. On the right one end of a Grade II listed building can be seen, a Modernist office block that was once the headquarters of Glaxo Smith Kline (1935, Wallis Gilbert & Partners).
