Ten years ago today I created the 271st post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

Zero tolerance notices, which warn against the verbal and physical abuse of members of staff by the public, seem to have become more common since the Covid lockdowns. The union that represents shop workers, USDAW, carried out a survey in 2021 which found that 90% had suffered verbal abuse, which has led to the Freedom from Fear campaign. There is no excuse for such behaviour towards anyone in the workplace but uncertainty and fear seem to have exacerbated existing tensions. The current economic crisis may shorten tempers even further.
