TREE, Greenford Road

Ten years ago today I created the 242nd post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

Trees are being planted alongside the new cycle path in Greenford Road. Voters like trees and ensuring there are more of them is regarded as a positive move in combatting climate change and mitigating the effects of pollution from traffic, so politicians now point out how many trees have been planted during their tenure. Despite the increase in the number of electric cars in Greenford, there is still a considerable problem with emissions and it will take a lot of street trees to make a difference.
