A glimpse of the past, Greenford Road

Ten years ago today I created the 223rd post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

Sometimes I can find a corner of Greenford that takes me back in time. This could be a country lane but it is, in fact, one of the busiest roads in west London. Despite the lack of rain these hedges have remained green and are habitats for insects, birds and small mammals. They also help to absorb heat, something that will become more important as climate change begins to have a direct effect on our lives.
