Ten years ago today I created the 204th post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.
How does a driver avoid parking on double yellow lines? They park on the pavement instead! This is now a common sight in Greenford. It is genuinely ignorance on the part of some drivers about the rules around parking that leads to this but the consequences are damaged pavements that become trip hazards. It costs thousands of pounds in repairs and compensation. Parking on a footway could result in a driver being given a penalty charge notice. What actually happens is that pedestrians are left with a choice of walking in the road or squeezing past the car, a challenge for those with a disability or a parent with a pushchair.
