The Elizabeth line is now open, Greenford Station, Oldfield Lane North

Ten years ago today I created the 144th post for Greenford 365.To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

A modest announcement of a significant event. An infrastructure project that was known as Crossrail has been named the Elizabeth line after the Queen and was opened by her this week. Greenford’s residents can access the line from this station by using the service to West Ealing. This has already had an impact on house values and encouraged interest from developers as the commute to stations on the new line, from Reading to Abbey Wood, Shenfield or Heathrow should be easier.

In other news, it has been raining.
