Ten years ago today I created the 108th post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.
Four masses have been held today at Greenford’s Catholic church to mark Easter Sunday, reasonably well attended but I was told that the congregation on Good Friday was so large that two hundred people were left standing outside. This was unprecedented and it seems that two years of restrictions on church attendance because of the Covid-19 pandemic have left many with a desire to worship alongside others. Masses at this church have been streamed online during lockdown but the point of them for many is the opportunity to take Communion. The popularity of streamed masses has been such that they will continue, the congregation is now a global one.
