A masterpiece of hedge trimming, Lincoln Close

Ten years ago today I created the 53rd post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

Hedges like this are now a rare sight in Greenford, carefully maintained, providing a habitat for wildlife and privacy for the resident.

Today is the tenth anniversary of the deaths of reporter Marie Colvin and photographer Remi Ochlik in Syria. Today, asI roam ordinary streets in search of interesting images I remember all those who leave safe homes and journey to dangerous places to let us know what is really happening to ordinary people around the world.

“Our mission is to speak truth to power. We send home that first rough draft of history.” Marie Colvin
