Grave of Oliver Hamilton Dickinson, Holy Cross churchyard, Ferrymead Gardens

Ten years ago today I created the 22nd post for Greenford 365. To mark the blog’s anniversary I will attempt to post a photo every day throughout 2022.

Oliver Hamilton Dickinson was an army veteran, born and brought up in west London. He enlisted in 1883, serving with the Middlesex Regiment in India and South Africa. At the end of his service he returned to London, got married in Hanwell and settled down in Greenford, working as a caretaker. He died on this day ten years later in 1915, in a flood.
