There are sixteen days to go before the start of the Olympic Games and London is gearing itself up for the arrival of the circus that tends to come with such a big event. It hasn’t had much of an impact on Greenford as attention will be concentrated on east rather than west London. Even so, there are concerns that the transport infrastructure will not be able to cope easily and residents are being asked to avoid central London during the Games or find alternative ways to travel through it. None of the “Olympic lanes” will pass through Greenford but drivers heading towards London along the A40 will have to deal with one at Hanger Lane gyratory system.
