Garden waste, slip road, near Oldfield Lane South

An example of flytipping that reflects a change in local council policy. This year a charge was introduced for the removal of garden waste in the borough, part of the council’s response to government cutbacks. It had previously been collected as part of the regular household recycling collection. This caused outrage and it was predicted that green waste would be dumped by householders avoiding the charge who couldn’t be bothered to compost it themselves. My concern is that more gardens, back as well as front, will disappear under paving and concrete to avoid the charge as well the maintenance.
