A plastic sheet, one of the larger pieces of litter scattered along the A40, floats high above the traffic. It gets more weatherbeaten every day and takes on a wraithlike appearance at night with the street light behind it.

This photo (and indeed this blog, which I’m delighted to have finally found) is wonderful. Have you seen Patrick Keiller’s show at the Duveen Gallery in the Tate Britain yet? Very Robinson in Ruins.

Thanks for the comment, glad you like it. I saw it one evening as I walked home and knew that it would start to change fairly quickly so I caught it as soon as I could. The Keiller exhibit sounds really interesting, it does seem to me that many things have some connection even though it might not be obvious. I hope everyone reading this takes a look at this link:
